A Look at some of the exciting and controvesial project happening around NYS Senate District 63
On May 4, 2023 Erie County approved the new stadium lease agreement for the Buffalo Bills, with a unanimous 10-0 vote by the Erie County Legislature. It was this approval that was a key step in allowing construction of the new Buffalo Bills stadium to begin.
In 2013 former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced his investment in the Buffalo Tesla Gigafactory through his “Buffalo Billion” program. Through this program the former governor committed nearly $1 billion in state funds to build the factory.
The Kensington Expressway reconnection project began under the original construction of the expressway in the 1950s and 1960s, which replaced the then historic, tree-lined Humboldt Parkway with a highway. The construction of this highway displaced communities and separated neighborhoods, creating a long-lasting negative impact.
